We had been talking about it for some years. Planning, doing all the paperwork, and getting all the documents and our visas in order. It was 2004, and the moment had finally arrived. My best friend and I were about to jump on a plane and move to Barcelona. We were going to go to music school for the next two years. I knew this move was going to be a significant moment in my life, but I didn't think it would become one of the best and most life-changing years of my life. From being picked up by prostitutes at the airport, to eating canned tuna for every single meal for six months. From sleeping on the streets of Florence, to not sleeping at all for a week.
'L'Ovella Negra' holds the stories that changed my life.
